Project overview
About this project.
A social discovery app built around place and interest rather than romance. You are in a
restaurant, a café, a venue; the app shows people nearby who are open to meeting — someone to have a
conversation with, share an interest, work with, or go somewhere with. The premise is the everyday
version of what dating apps monopolised: people are physically near each other and would happily talk,
and have no way to start.
From the proposal, the platform side is real: locations managed by admins, with businesses or
users submitting location requests that admins approve or deny, user upgrades, blocking, and push
notifications — so the venues themselves are part of the network, not just a map layer.
This is a delivered product, not a proposal.
