About this project.
A carpooling app built on a points economy instead of fares. A driver going from point A to point
B posts the trip; the system matches people who want that ride; the rider transfers points to the
driver; the driver's balance of points buys them a ride when they are the passenger. The result is a
closed loop that keeps the service free at the point of use while still rewarding the person driving.
Around the matching sit the parts that make strangers-in-a-car workable: driver profiles and trip
records, car type and vehicle details, and identity verification of drivers and riders, handled
either by the operator or by the client organisation running the network.
It was built as a concept and never launched.
