About this project.
An Android application for collecting electricity consumption. The reader goes to the meter, takes
the reading, and the app captures how many kilowatt-hours have been consumed — which becomes the
basis for the bill and the collection that follows. It replaces the notebook-and-carbon-paper round
that this job has always been, and removes the transcription step between the meter and the invoice.
This is a current, contracted client: a signed maintenance and support agreement runs from
1 June 2025 to 30 June 2026, so the app is live and under active support.
