About this project.
Beat connects people who are in the same location right now. You are in a venue; so are other
people; the app lets you see them, find the interests you share, and start talking before either of
you commits to being a contact. The conversation comes first and the connection is optional — the
reverse of how a friend request usually works, and the thing that makes it comfortable to use in a
room full of strangers.
The venue is part of the product rather than a backdrop: the host app handles guest sign-up —
name, phone, optional email, and notes or tags on the guest — and a guest can set the venue as their
home venue, so a place builds a returning crowd rather than a series of one-off visits.
Same family as Wing Me, approached from the venue's side: Wing Me starts from the person looking
for someone nearby, Beat starts from the place they are both standing in.
